I understand that you are facing issues with using Windows Store on Windows I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. Have you checked whether Windows 10 is activated or not? Also try to run Windows Store apps troubleshooter from the below Microsoft Help Article and check if it helps. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. The only error message I get is “Try that again”.

I haven’t changed the computer, as far as I know. I’m using a laptop, so no new hardware or anything. This is the first time I’ve tried to use the Windows Store. The date and time are correct, as is the time zone. The Network Troubleshooter didn’t find any problems. A restart didn’t solve the problem. Are there any other methods for solving this issue? I’d like to use the apps in the Windows Store but none of them will download– after trying to download 5 different apps, I always get the same Error 0xF8F message.

It even showed that I owned Kindle one of the apps I was trying to download but that it just wasn’t installed on this machine. Seeing as I hadn’t tried to get it from the store on any other machine, some message must have gone through the system somehow that I was trying to get that app. All the other default Windows 10 apps I’ve tried to use have worked fine.

The problem only seems to be when I try to get a new one. I tried to use the PowerShell command you gave me above. After restarting my computer twice and trying to update Windows to see if that was the problem, the same blank dialog box showed up when trying to open the Windows Store. So I tried the command you gave me a second time, and this time it gave me an error in PowerShell:.

I tried to follow the onscreen instructions for additional information, but the event log isn’t showing such an event, at least as far as I can find.

And when I tried its suggested command line for more information, I got the error that: ‘Get-AppxLog’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. So it seems I’m stuck, partly because I don’t know enough about the Windows 10 system or programming to do anything more at the moment. And now the Windows Store won’t open at all. It just creates errors in the event viewer with the error code Thank you for your response with the current status of the issue.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8 a while back. Everywhere I look, it says this error is from either incorrect date and time, or that I need to clear the Windows Store cache.

I’ve checked date and time and time zone and they’re all correct. I’ve cleared the Windows Store cache and tried restarting, then tried the Store again– also no dice. Does anyone have any further ideas? I’ve tried checking, and now it doesn’t even show that the Windows Store is installed on my system. And I can’t seem to make it re-install or re-download the store, either Well I downloaded a copy of Windows 10 from the Microsoft website and put it on a flash drive, then reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows. So far, this seems to have resolved the problem. At least, now my Windows Store is working. Have you checked to see if you have pending updates that need a reboot?

I had similar issues with the same error message and come to find that there was a Windows Update that’s pending a reboot. After the reboot and the updates applied, the app that was having issues installed fine. Hope this helps.
